guess who’s back?

Standard

The new Jon Acuff book came in the mail today. Start. That’s the name of the book. I’m pretty good at starting; the follow through and finishing is the part I’m pretty meh about. I suppose I have to actually read the book to get inspired by it. I’ll add it to the queue.

I revisited a piece of writing I’ve been dabbling with for years. I’m vowing to finish it by this summer. The hotel story needs to be told. It started as a nanowrimo piece… I forget what year. It would be nice to finish even a crappy first draft of a real, actual  book.

There are other things I would like to share with you. Tonight, I’m too tired to use words, though. I’m also on the verge of figuring out some stuff and until I make sense of it, I can’t share.

So yeah. I’m back to the blog (woohoo) as evidenced by this mediocre update. 🙂

About SaraBSutter

I serve as the pastor of United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield, Iowa. My husband Steve and I are excited to be in a friendly small town and look forward to the years ahead. In addition to nerdy church stuff, I love reading books, writing, good coffee, cats, and football.

  1. I like your latest blog. Funny how I stumbled upon your blog by looking up some older Acuff reviews. I was wanting to find a review on Start. Downloaded the utstetda chapter free and read it quickly… Twice!!!
I just started my own business and the timeliness and encouragement of Start is uncanny!
I’ve read several months of your blog since I found it the other night and noticed the spacing out of entries. I’ve enjoyed what I read. Keep writing! Part of the “why” of my business is because I believe everyone has a story that is worth telling. I encourage you to share your heart. Tell your story. Life is messy. Life is gritty. Life is dirty. This is what makes us each so interesting. My favorite posts of yours have been the gritty ones. The ones where you don’t censor so much.
We all struggle. I love that you share your tripping, stumbling journey!!
Your blog is bookmarked on my phone. I intend to visit often!!
